Allison Darling, Founder GoalGETTERS (fka ManagementConcepts, Inc., est 1994)
For more than 25 years Allison Darling has taken the world of management and entrepreneurial leadership by storm. Today Allison is the president of two successful Kansas-based consulting firms; Management Concepts and GoalGETTERS® Online. Her experience in a variety of management positions lends itself to successfully helping any sized company realize its true potential and become a more effective organization. Allison’s one of a kind coaching style allows her to customize her techniques to fit each unique circumstance and company, never taking a “one size fits all” approach.
Starting out as a management intern for a packing line at JC Penny Catalog while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in business administration, Allison began to hone her skills for realizing others’ potential at a young age. Moving through the ranks she quickly became a member of the upper echelon because of her ability to get results through people. After six years at JC Penny she was offered a more responsibility laden position at Hallmark Cards. During her time at Hallmark, Allison held positions in everything from operations leadership and management to corporate logistics, constantly being moved to areas at the company that needed significant improvement.
While working for Hallmark, JC Penny Allison also found the time to open and independently run a residential and light commercial cleaning company, The Cleaning Crew. For three years Allison successfully balanced her two career responsibilities until she left Hallmark in 1993, one year later she sold her cleaning company.
As a mother of two and with 13 years of experience under her belt, Allison took a huge step in her career and started her first consulting firm, ManagementConcepts. Since then, Allison has never looked back. She has grown from an “accidental company” helping out a fellow business owner, after selling The Cleaning Crew, to a renowned, goal oriented business practitioner in the Kansas City area and beyond. In 2004 Allison noticed an important group that much of the strategic planning and goal realization consulting world was neglecting, entrepreneurs and professionals on the go who required quick and easily accessible online tools and resources. By tapping into this niche she started a new division of ManagementConcepts called GoalGETTERS® Online. In 2009 GoalGETTERS® Online officially became its own entity, separate from Management Concepts.
Allison’s history of success in helping companies to define the difference between setting and achieving goals has helped her to stand out in the world of business consulting.
